Common questions
How loud is it, honestly?
Loud. Every centrifugal juicer is, because extraction depends on very high rpm — think of a food processor at full tilt, running for about thirty seconds. If somebody is asleep on the other side of the wall, this is not the appliance for six in the morning.
Does it juice kale and spinach?
They will go through and something will come out, but the yield is poor next to hard produce. Bundling greens into a tight roll and feeding them sandwiched between apple pieces improves it noticeably; it still will not match a masticating machine.
What is the clean-up like?
Around two minutes if you do it immediately: tip out the pulp bin, then take a brush to the mesh filter under running water before anything has a chance to dry. Leave it until the evening and that two minutes becomes ten.
